This project aims to develop an innovative service called AI-CARES for automated continuous monitoring and decision support, with the final goal of providing preventive maintenance service and real-time support to the customers during the ammonia synthesis process. The core of AI-CARES is driven by a set of intelligence algorithms, which automatically convert the streaming of operational data from ammonia plants into useful information. The computed information help to detect or predict equipment failures and unwanted working conditions, to evaluate current performance and, if necessary, suggest actions to optimally perform the plant. Thanks to this avant-garde service that can offer to revamp of existing hardware, the company is able to maintain a closer relationship with the customer, improve and reduce the costly and time-consuming process of fault analysis.

The project is carried out by SUPSI in collaboration with Casale.
