Electronic Nose Device is a wearable device for workers in Coating Plants. Its purpose is to monitoring air quality specifically the level of Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC) and gives real time feedback to users. The feedback consists of informing the users about the quality of the air on three levels and by this alert they know when to wear a Protective Mask. VOC Sensor within the device is calibrated with respect to the Coating Plants’ environment levels and can detect null, minimum and the maximum level of Volatile Organic Compounds. The value detected by the sensor is transformed into a signal that activates LED and vibration motor (in realtime). The LED and vibration motor outputs adopt to three possible levels of VOC detected by the sensor.
The application of this invention is in the Coating Plant Environment. Where the main benefit of the Electronic Nose Device is that it can alert the workers about the dangers that they are exposed to in the Coating Plants by continuous monitoring the VOC levels and giving realtime feedback. It is light and easy to wear.
