Ask the Innovation Expert

Innovation Experts are a role introduced within the Interreg Italy–Switzerland project “Pmi Network”, with the aim of connecting small and medium-sized enterprises with the research ecosystem.

They are professionals with multidisciplinary skills, tasked with supporting companies on innovation-related topics by providing initial guidance on technical, practical, and strategic aspects. Companies were able to engage with the expert best suited to their needs, presenting challenges, ideas, or development opportunities.

The role of the Innovation Experts was to facilitate the identification of solutions, suggest possible directions, and stimulate new approaches, helping SMEs address innovation challenges and leverage new opportunities.

This service represented, for many companies, a first step toward more structured innovation pathways, fostering dialogue with the research system and enabling the development of future collaborations.
